Veneers

What are they?

A thin layer of material (either porcelain or composite) placed on the front teeth. Can be carried out on the same day using Cerec.

What will my dentist do?

Visit 1:

• Give you a local anaesthetic to numb area if needed (can be done using “The Wand” painless injection)
• Prepare the teeth
• Take moulds of your teeth and send to the laboratory

Visit 2: (not required if your veneers are made using Cerec)

• Cement the veneers

What are the benefits?

• Improve the shape, colour and appearance of teeth
• Can be used to close gaps and alter the position of teeth if orthodontics is not suitable
• Very little tooth preparation needed
